Eryn Strachan

New Zealand born, singer/songwriter Eryn Strachan has found a true second home here in Glasgow, Scotland.

With a strong Scottish heritage and a love of traditional and folk music, Eryn arrived in 2003 and now considers herself a ‘native.

Eryn has been involved in music and theatre since the age of nine.  She graduated from the New Zealand National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art in 1995 and has ventured into many aspects of performance including acting, dance, film, television and radio but in recent years she has returned to her first love, singing.

Inspired by an eclectic range of musical influences and a love of poetry, Eryn continues to explore music in its many genres through writing, performing and recording.

Eryn brings her trans-pacific experience to Celtic Music Radio with her “Antipodean Sessions”.
