Fergus Muirhead

Fergus Muirhead has played the bagpipes all over the world.  Fergus has played with the Chieftains at the London Palladium and with Carlos Nunez in Dublin, Barcelona and Vigo, and has recorded with Scottish folk bands Molindinar and Ceolbeg as well as with the Chieftains and Carols Nunez.

Fergus is also well known as a compere and has been involved in every Piping Live! festival since it began in 2002.

He is also a regular speaker on the Burns Supper circuit, performing at the British Embassy in Rome and the Centro Asturiano in Barcelona with Tam O’Shanter and the Immortal Memory being particular specialities.

Fergus is a regular and respected contributor and presenter on a variety of BBC Scotland television and radio programmes with down-to-earth and easy to understand advice on a wide range of money and consumer issues.

By day he is a consultant with VWM Wealth Management, a firm of financial planners and investment managers in Glasgow and London.

Fergus Muirhead with ‘Muirhead’s Music’ on Celtic Music Radio on Monday evenings at 7.00pm (repeated Mondays at 12 noon).
