BATTLEFIELD BAND FOUNDING MEMBER HOUSE CONCERT

BATTLEFIELD BAND FOUNDING MEMBER HOUSE CONCERT

Celtic Music Radio’s final House Concert of the year will feature the gifted singer, songwriter and musician, Alan Reid, a founding member of The Battlefield Band.

His solo show at the station’s Admiral Street studios in Glasgow takes place on Tuesday, November 20.

Alan has been at the forefront of Scottish traditional music for more than 40 years and since retiring from The Battlefield Band in 2010, he has successfully pursued a solo career and in duo format with Dutchman, Rob Van Sante.

With a fine back catalogue, there will be no shortage of quality songs to be sung at this event.

“I am really pleased to have this show at Celtic Music Radio studios as the station plays such a big part in promoting music from all kinds of musicians through its programmes, its outside broadcasts and House Concerts,” said Alan.

Previous successful Celtic Music Radio House Concerts have featured sold-out shows by Nashville-based, Eef Barzelay, Scottish alt-folk duo, Doghouse Roses and most recently, Aberdeenshire folk singer, Iona Fyfe.

The shows are BYOB and donation-to-the-artist affairs.
