Sona le Seonaidh (Happy with John) is John Joe MacNeil with our weekly Gaelic programme of music, guests and chat.

This week, Sona le Seonaidh comes live from John’s home area in Castlebay on the Isle of Barra as he is on Barra keeping in touch with family and friends during the  New Year holiday season.

As always there will be a guest or two on the ‘Island Parish’ island!

Sona le Seonaidh presenter John Joe MacNeil has missed the boat and can’t get off his beloved Isle of Barra.  So his Thursday night’s  programme is once again coming from the studios of siar.fm in Castlebay.

John Joe MacNeil says ‘Happy with John’ with a mix gaelic chat, news and for special guest Ishi MacLean (pictured) from the Isle of Barra, a lady of many talents.

It is time for another live broadcast from the Isle of Barra on Thursday night when John Joe MacNeil presents Sona le Seonaidh!

John Joe’s  guest is Maeve MacKinnon a Gàidhlig singer from Barra and who now lives in Glasgow and is a deputy headteacher in a Gàidhlig Primary School.
