CELTIC MUSIC RADIO ANNOUNCE DUO OF HOUSE CONCERTS

Celtic Music Radio 95FM has announced its final duo of House Concerts for the year.

In October, Craig and Willoughby – Cathryn Craig and Brian Willoughby – are lined up for their first visit.

Individually, they have worked with the likes of The Righteous Brothers, Nanci Griffith and Strawbs but they have a growing following who admire their own brand of acoustic-based material with Cathryn’s joyous vocals and Brian’s inventive guitar playing.

They were nominated “Best Folk Duo” in Folking.com’s poll last year. Their show takes place on Tuesday, October 16.

The final House Concert of the year will be in the company of Alan Reid, a founding member of The Battlefield Band.

A gifted singer/songwriter and musician, Alan has been at the forefront of Scottish traditional music for more than 40 years and is currently on tour.

His 2017 release, The Dear Green Place, with Rob Van Sante, was praised by Folkwaves as both “sensitive and imaginative”.

Previous successful Celtic Music Radio House Concerts have featured sold-out shows by Nashville-based, Eef Barzelay, top Scottish alt-folk duo, Doghouse Roses and most recently, Aberdeenshire folk singer, Iona Fyfe.

The shows are BYOB and donation-to-the-artist affairs.
