Celtic Music Radio launches on DAB digital radio in the Glasgow area today – St Andrew’s Day.
This will greatly increase our audience coverage, particularly in the south and east of the city.
Over the last few weeks, we have been working with our colleagues at Nation Broadcasting to get the infrastructure in place, and we are now “live” from the DAB transmitter in Rutherglen.
Celtic Music Radio chair Alex Jenkins says “We are please to return to DAB, enabling us to connect with even more of our musical and cultural community in the Glasgow area. We are delighted to be working closely with Nation Broadcasting to make this possible; the additional DAB programmes that are available on the local service is like a breath of fresh air for radio in Glasgow”.
Liz Clark adds “The timing of this launch could not be better – St Andrew’s Day! It allows us to build our listener community in advance of this yeaqr’s Celtic Connections festival, where we will be broadcasting every day from the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, as well as from our studios in Kinning Park”.
You can now tune in to Celtic Music Radio on DAB, on 95FM, via our website, through the RadioPlayer and TuneIn apps, and even on your smart telly or your Alexa box!
