Funding UK licensed Community radio
UK Community radio is licensed by broadcasting regulator Ofcom and is provided on a not-for-profit basis focusing on the delivery of specific social benefits to enrich a particular geographical community or a community of interest.
Celtic Music Radio 95 FM operates to benefit a ‘community of interest’ with a broad mix of Celtic, traditional and contemporary roots music, supporting singer-songwriters and the indigenous arts and culture and has a dedicated team of volunteers in many operational areas who present and produce programmes to an appreciative audience.
To assist in meeting its operating costs and to develop the programme service and social gain, Celtic Music Radio welcomes donations to support the ongoing development of the service.
Celtic Music Radio aims to increase support to artists and performers by showcasing more ‘live’ outside broadcasts from venues across Scotland.
