Celtic Music Radio is licensed (Licence No. CR137) by UK broadcasting and communications regulator Ofcom,
to transmit on 1530 kHz AM to the Glasgow area of Scotland.

UK Community radio is provided on a not-for-profit basis, focusing on the delivery of specific social benefits to enrich a particular geographical community or a community of interest. Celtic Music Radio on 1530 AM/MW and via the internet operates to benefit a ‘community of interest’ with a broad mix of Celtic, traditional and contemporary music, supporting singer-songwriters and the indigenous arts and culture and has a dedicated team of volunteers in many operational areas, who present and produce programmes to an appreciative audience.

To assist in meeting its operating costs, and to develop the programme service and social gain, Celtic Music Radio welcomes donation in cash to support the ongoing development of Celtic Music Radio.

Celtic Music Radio aims to increase support to artists and performers by showcasing more ‘live’ outside broadcasts from venues across Scotland and making Celtic Music Radio available on emerging broadcast delivery platforms like DAB Digital Radio to reach more of our community of interest.
