Festival Fling with Liz Clark – Saturday 14 January 2-4pm

Today’s (Saturday) Festival Fling includes acts from Ireland with the first being the stunning voice of Cara Dillon (pictured) from Dungivan in Co Derry, Ireland.

Cara sings with groups such as Ogie & De Dannan and Equation as well as a solo singer and with her own band.  This recording is from the Orkney Folk Festival 2011 (31 May – 3 June 2012).  Cara is also appearing at Celtic Connections on Saturday 27 February 2012 as part of the concert  Song for Ireland at 7.30pm in the Main Auditorium of The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.  On stage will be the welcome return of Finbar Furey of the famous Furey family from the 1960’s and All Ireland Ullien Piper, whistle, banjo, actor extraordinaire will also be appearing with Dick Gaughan.

Martin Simpson  & June Tabour on Thursday 26 January in The Glasgow City Halls at 8pm.

Instead of a recorded concert today, Liz will be playing tracks from Finbars new CD Colours. Enjoy.
