Mary K Burke is originally from Northern Ireland but has lived in Scotland since 1980.
Her debut album 'A Song In Her Heart' was released to critical acclaim in February 2008 on the Greentrax recording label.
Mary founded, organised and directed the ‘Neilston Live’ and ‘Barfest’ music festivals in East Renfrewshire, an area that borders Glasgow City Council area. Mary promoted talent both local and international, including Nashville's Bob Cheevers.
Mary's show on Celtic Music Radio 1530 AM covers an eclectic mix of up and coming and well established songwriters and performers from Scotland and around the world. Mary will be inviting a wide variety of guests to contribute to proceedings and will be holding a regular CD giveaway draw for her listeners. Her Events Diary will enable festival and gig organisers to announce future events to the every growing Celtic Music Radio audience.
