Presenter  -  Paula Khan

Paula Khan

A result of her parents meeting at a Glasgow folk club in the 1960s, Paula likes to think that folk music is in the blood somewhere.

Previously deputy editor to a market leading wedding magazine, this is where she became aware of the ceilidh phenomenon which swept the wedding scene. Her plea for non-cheesy first dance tunes from brides and grooms went unheeded.

Her obsession with English has led her to become a mature student at the University of Strathclyde where she is studying for a BA in Arts and Social Sciences. Paula is a member of the Glasgow Storytellers Club and is training to be a yoga teacher.

She loves music! Here claim to folk fame is that Billy Connolly once played her father's banjo. What Mr Connolly thought of it has gone unrecorded!

Paula is on Celtic Music Radio on Saturday lunchtime 12:00-15:00
