Presenter  -  Ross Macfadyen

Ross Macfadyen

Ross Macfadyen started his radio career in 1985 at the University of Strathclyde Student Union’s internal "StrathRadio" service. This was instead of the BA in Business Studies he was supposed to be studying for. So, things have come full circle back to the Livingstone Tower again!

Music wise, Ross says he likes "anything from Mozart to Motorhead". Current favourites being Dougie MacLean, who is one of Scotland's most successful, respected and popular musicians, singer-songwriter, composer and performer; the music of composer/pianist Ludovico Einaudi which has been described as minimalist, classical, ambient, contemporary and deeply touching plus Ella Fitzgerald and Vangelis; as well as Joel, Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Jewel, and the list goes on!

Ross began his stint on Celtic Music Radio by being part of the OB team at the Danny Kyle Open Stage Anniversary Concert on 19 July 2008. There's nothing like being thrown in at the deep end.
