Hamish Douglals Burgess hails from his spiritual home Scotland via Cornwall and Maui.  An artists, musician and radio presenter to name but a few of his callings has been presenting his show on Celtic Music Radio since 12 Aug 2008 all the way from Maui .
Hamish travels to many countries interviewing musicians for his programme, listening to and collecting music for his show and is a ‘well kent’ face round festivals in  Scotland,  USA and Canada  and of course to his Scottish family at Celtic Music Radio!

Hamish is also a piper and was a founding member of The Maui Celtic Pipes and Drums, a non-profit bagpipe band serving the Maui community, now renamed “The Isle of Maui Pipeband”. His piping was honoured  by being  named The Caledonian Society of Hawaii’s ‘Scot of the Year’ for 2010, for services to the Scottish/Hawaiian community. Also hailed as Scottish Ambassador for The Princess Ka’iulani Project, Hamish also took the story of Hawaii’s most beloved Hawaii/Scot back to her father’s homeland in 2009!
So listen in and find out about Hamish’s latest travels and tales – and – the music!
