Album of the Week – Anderson And Gordon ‘Maks A Muckle’

Iain Anderson and Andrew Gordon, who have been performing together since 2021, perfectly blend energetic songs and fiddle tunes both live and on this uplifting album.

Maks a Muckle was mostly recorded at B&B Studios in Edinburgh although one of the tracks features a recording from Dunfermline Folk Club with the audience becoming the backing choir.

Iain (fiddle and vocals) and Andrew (guitar, bodhran and vocals) are backed by Liam Stewart, who provides backing on harmonium, bells and bass on two tracks.

The duo’s live events guarantee a fun night of interactive entertainment and they are regulars on the Royal Scotsman, recently featuring on the Channel 4 TV show “Scotland’s Poshest Train.”

They will be chatting about their music with Ian Kidd on the Album of the Week Show today at midday.
