Celtic Music Radio has extended its DAB services with coverage now available across North Ayrshire and West Renfrewshire.
The development in digital capacity is a boost to listeners across coastal and inland communities.
The station first introduced DAB to Glasgow and then successfully extended it to Edinburgh, Inverclyde and Vale of Leven. The North Ayrshire and West Renfrewshire services operate from two transmission sites in Largs and a second site near Dalry.
Alex Jenkins, chair of the station’s board of directors, said: “We are pleased by the quality of the new DAB services and it means many more people can listen to our programmes.
“Hopefully, we can attract new advertisers and sponsors as we increase the numbers of listeners.
“We offer quality programming across a wide geographical area and there’s no doubt other DAB services could be introduced in due course.”
