Wave Of The Flood is the musical alter ego of singer-songwriter Lindsay Strachan.
Turning forty-five in June last year, Lindsay marked the milestone with her debut album, FortyFive.
She launched a year-long project celebrating the 45 rpm single and this involved her releasing a single every month for a year. Lindsay regarded this as a tribute to an era when music was personal and unhurried, just like her songwriting.
On the album – produced by Kris Drever and featuring a range of musicians including John McCusker – she creates a beautiful acoustic blend of heartfelt storytelling and evocative melodies.
