Today’s edition of It’s a Quinn Thing features special guests, MEALLAN ahead of their WestFest gig tomorrow (Tuesday, June 9) at The Record Factory.
David Nisbet will be chatting to the band about how they came together and they will be introducing tracks from their new EP First Light.
This has been a busy year for the band after winning a Danny Kyle Open Stage award at Celtic Connections.
Meallan fuse fiddle, clàrsach, accordion, guitar, keyboard, and Gaelic song to create a rich, modern traditional sound. With a passion for both composition and collaboration, the band blends contemporary edge with deep traditional roots.
Tomorrow’s WestFest gig, which has a 7 pm start, sees them headlining a show that also features Kisna Panesar and Joe Riley.
