Gerry’s Jukebox – Special Guest Evelyn Laurie

Paisley’s Evelyn Laurie is a special guest on Gerry’s Jukebox this week – Wednesday, July 15 at 4 pm.

A natural and highly rated jazz singer who brings a variety of influences to her music, she will be chatting with Gerry Maguire about her latest intriguing recording project that started while Evelyn was on holiday last year.

The result is an EP collection titled ‘Besos’ (Kisses, in Spanish) and the first single Quizas is being released this Friday – July 17.

The songs were recorded with a talented Mexican guitarist, Oscar Barroso Solaegui, and they capture lovely Latin songs, or ‘boleros’ as they’re known in Spanish.

But if you tune in you will hear all about their collaboration, the recording and production processes, and, of course, Evelyn’s striking songs themselves.
