Tunnock’s Sponsor Station For Second Time

Written by on January 19, 2026

For the second year running Celtic Music Radio is being sponsored by an internationally known, award-winning company for its 20th consecutive year of live coverage from Celtic Connections.

Tunnock’s, the Uddingston-based, family-run biscuit business produces Caramel Wafers, Tea Cakes and Caramel Logs in their distinctive wrappings that are enjoyed globally.

Chair of the station’s board of directors, Alex Jenkins, said the second year of sponsorship by Tunnock’s was a major boost to the station’s Connections’ coverage, which started 20 years ago.

“Tunnock’s is a company known and respected worldwide for the quality of its biscuits so to have their support once again is something we value so highly,” said Alex.

The 2026 Celtic Connections’ festival starts its first full week of events today (Monday January 19) and runs through to February 1.

We be broadcasting live each and every day from Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall with Tunnock’s support.

There will be eight hours of outside broadcasts from the Concert Hall daily for ten weekdays with live sessions of music, interviews and news. More than 60 guests will be appearing over the next two weeks in the station’s Concert Hall programmes.

And daily live coverage of the hugely popular Danny Kyle Open Stage (DKOS) shows from the Concert Hall is scheduled.

The station’s normal, round-the-clock schedules will be running uninterrupted also during this period.
