Written by celtic music radio on May 23, 2026

Glasgow-based singer-songwriter and musician, ANY THOMAZ is recognised for his eclectic musical style that blends folk, soul, pop and rock influences.
This heartfelt album delivers music that takes us on a raw, emotional and positive lyrical journey and it’s dedicated to his daughter, Gaia.
The collection is inspired by Gaia’s strength in the face of health issues and the effect it has had on the family in terms of their resilience and power to stay positive, and the joy of living.
Ant, who has a Cajun heritage, has won praise for keeping things honest in his songs.
One review stated: “He is offering something listeners can find their own meaning in, while encouraging them to keep going and aim a little higher.”
He will be talking with Liz Clark – aka Auntie Liz – on the Album of the Week Show today at midday.
• ALBUM OF THE WEEK SHOW – host Liz Clark in conversation with Ant Thomaz – Saturday, May 23, 2026 – noon.
