Album of the Week – Reuben and The Bridge ‘Sit Here With Us’

Yorkshire-based acoustic folk duo, Reuben and The Bridge are paired both in life and in music.

Reuben Wilkinson on guitar and vocals and Annie Bridget on vocals and fiddle play a blend of self-penned songs and covers of classics embracing warm harmonies, expressive fiddle lines and acoustic guitar for a sound that feels both timeless and fresh.

The duo met five years ago on a dating website and quickly discovered a shared musical chemistry.

Station presenter, Hugh Taylor first heard them playing at Hamish’s Café, a Lancashire venue dedicated to the memory of Hamish Imlach. He booked them for Moniaive Guitar Festival and they have also played the Danny Kyle Open Stage at Celtic Connections.

They will be talking with Hugh about Sit Here With Us, their debut album, today at noon on the Album of the Week Show.
