Auntie Liz in Conversation with Composer/Musician Nan Avant

Award winning composer and musician, Nan Avant will be a guest of Liz Clark on Travels With My Auntie Liz this evening. (March 15)


Seattle-based, Nan will debut in the UK her most recent work ‘Tributum’ – winner of the 13th Annual Independent Music Vox Populi Award for best instrumental song and is also a nominee in many other prestigious awards.

It can be found on the recently-released album, Legends And Light Vol 2, which is an ambitious collection of new works for large ensemble performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra – conducted by David Watkins – and the Filharmonie Brno.


Lorne MacDougall on the Great Highland Bagpipes and Ryan Murphy on Uillean Pipes also feature.


Nan, who has many accolades to her name for soundtracks for documentaries and film, will be chatting to Liz about her eclectic mix of influences and all aspects of her musical output.
